We’re pleased to be working for Evans Engineering who have developed an exciting new design for the proposed Severn Tidal Reef. The Evans Family have been water engineers since at least 1810 and more recently have been involved in water pumping and water power projects all over the world.
Evans Engineering are passionate about water power and their headquarters at Trecarrell Mill near Launceston has been self-sufficient with hydroelectricity for the last 50 years!
Rupert Armstrong Evans’ design for the Severn Tidal Reef project stretching from Minehead to Aberthaw is a totally new concept in tidal power generation with the prospect of being environmentally and ecologically friendly while still allowing the passage of ships and generating as much or even greater amounts of electricity than the mammoth Cardiff-Weston barrage.
